Avoid driving through large puddles or standing water at high speed. Experts also advise to refrain from using cruise control when driving in rainy conditions. Using cruise control tends to make the driver keep their feet away from both the gas and brake pedals. Remember that there is nothing wrong with pulling over if you begin to feel threatened by the conditions.
