Introduction to bark collars

A bark collar is a device that stops excessive barking by temporarily administrating a slight annoyance to distract a barking dog. There are three types of bark collars available on the market today. 1. Electronic

2. Citronella Based
• Citronella based bark collars releases a small amount of citronella based fragrance underneath the chin of the dog. The citronella is unpleasant for a dog but is completely harmless. This type of bark collar is less effective than an electronic collar but it is perfect for someone who is against using electronic collars.
3. Ultrasonic
• An ultrasonic bark collar has its disadvantages like not being effective for indoor use but great for outdoor use. It is sometimes referred to as an outdoor bark collar. Just like the other types of bark collars, the anti-bark mechanism is administered after the dog starts to bark excessively but instead of using shock or fragrances, ultrasonic collars sends out a high pitched tone that is meant to distract the barking dog. Another advantage of an ultrasonic collar is that it can only be heard by dogs and not humans.
